1079 Life (callsign: 5RAM) is a Christian radio station in Adelaide, South Australia. 1079 Life broadcasts on the 107.9 MHz frequency.
According to the radio station's own website, the length of time it took to acquire a "broadcast licence for Adelaide's only Christian radio station" was 20 years. 1079 Life has been operating full-time (on-air) from October 1993.
1079 Life was original called "Alta Mira FM", and later renamed to "Life FM". In September 2016, Life FM rebranded and changed its name to "1079 Life"
The station's motto is Real Life Radio.
As well as playing Adult Contemporary and Christian music, 1079 Life offers news, sport, music programs and talk programs. 1079 Life won a SACBA award for Community Engagement in 2014
Saturday and Sunday afternoons in winter, 1079 Life usually broadcast one of the SANFL football matches. The station has won 3 SANFL Media Awards, "Best Commentary" in 2004 & 2008 and "Best Radio Interview" in 2007. 1079 Life also simulcasts Nine News from 6pm weeknights.
100.7 Riverland Life FM based in Loxton was formed with help from 1079 Life in Adelaide.
1079 Life Adelaide also broadcasts Lift Radio on DAB digital radio.
