The 1914 Tempe Normal Owls football team was an American football team that represented Tempe Normal School (later renamed Arizona State University) as an independent during the 1914 college football season. In their first season under head coach George Schaeffer, the Owls compiled a (4–3) record, and were outscored by their opponents 143-97. Tempe Normal's team captain was Gordon Johnston. The Owls finished (3-1) at home and (1-2) on the road. All home games were played at Normal Field in Tempe, Arizona.
In the season opener at Normal Field, Tempe Normal beat Tempe High School 12-6. The Owls recorded an impressive 72-0 home shutout victory over Glendale High School in Tempe. This marked the first and only meeting between the teams in school history. During the rivalry matchup in Tucson, Tempe Normal suffered a 34-0 road shutout loss to Arizona. The Owls dropped a 13-9 contest against Phoenix Union High School on the road. Tempe Normal lost their 3rd straight game, as they fell 24-6 to the Phoenix Indians at Normal Field. The Owls rebounded with a 34-7 home win over the Phoenix Indians. Tempe Normal closed the season with a 10-7 road victory against Prescott High School. This marked the first ever meeting between the teams in school history.
