The 1925–26 season was the 53rd season of competitive football in Scotland and the 36th season of the Scottish Football League.
Champions: Celtic
Relegated: Raith Rovers, Clydebank
Promoted: Dunfermline Athletic, Clyde
Relegated: Bathgate, Broxburn United
Promoted: Forfar Athletic
Several teams were unable to complete their fixtures due to financial difficulties. The championship was never awarded. As a result, Division Three would be scrapped next season. Most clubs in the division (those marked above in pink) have not since made a return to the league.
St Mirren were winners of the Scottish Cup after a 2–0 final win over Division One champions Celtic.

Strathclyde were winners of the Junior Cup after a 2–0 win over Bridgeton Waverley in the final.
