The 1935–36 Primeira Liga season was the second season of top-tier football in Portugal. This was experimental competition and the winners of that competition were named "League champions". The Portuguese Championship instead defined the Portuguese champion.
It was contested by 8 teams, and S.L. Benfica won the championship.
