The 1946 San Francisco State Gators football team represented San Francisco State College during the 1946 college football season.
San Francisco State and Southern Oregon joined the Far Western Conference (FWC) in 1946, but their games did not count in the conference standings. The Gators were led by head coach Dick Boyle. Boyle was in the first year of his second stint as head coach of the team. They played home games at Cox Stadium in San Francisco, California. The team finished with a record of three wins and three losses (3–3, 0–0 FWC). For the season the team outscored its opponents 71–60.
No San Francisco State players were selected in the 1947 NFL Draft.
