The 1968–69 Iraq FA Premier League was the 14th season of what is now known as the League of the Institutes (the top division of Iraqi football from 1948 to 1974), and was open to teams from Baghdad. Aliyat Al-Shorta won their second straight league title, and the third title in the history of the Police clubs that were merged to form Al-Shorta in 1974.
