The 2012–13 season is Parma's 22nd season in Serie A, and their fourth consecutive season in the top flight, having finished in eighth position in the previous season. The team is also competing in the Coppa Italia and benefit from a bye to the Round of 16 after the strong league finish.
Parma unveiled their 2012–13 kits on 14 July 2012. The home kit again features the traditional black cross on a white shirt with white shorts and socks. The away kit is primarily black for the second consecutive season, but this time the exact inverse of the home kit: a white cross on a black shirt. The third kit gives prominence to several horizontal yellow and blue hoops, the first seen on a Parma shirt since 2004, before Tommaso Ghirardi's arrival at the club. Clothing manufacturer Navigare stayed on as a shirt sponsor, but moved from the principal partner to the secondary and replaced Banca Monte Parma in this respect. Vorwerk's Italian arm Folletto became the main sponsor. Locally-based Erreà continued to manufacture the kits.
