The 2015–16 Manchester City season is the club's 114th season of competitive football, its 87th season in the top division of English football and its 19th season in the Premier League since the League creation, with Manchester City as one of the original 22 founder-members. Along with the Premier League, the club will also compete in the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup. The season covers the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.
City began their league campaign with the same form they had shown at the end of the previous season. On winning their first four Premier League games, on 29 August 2015 the team set a new club record of ten consecutive league victories, beating the previous record which had stood for 103 years.
On 28 February 2016, City won the League Cup after beating Liverpool on penalties at Wembley to secure their third trophy under manager Manuel Pellegrini.
