2018 ASUN Tournament winner

The 2017–18 Florida Gulf Coast Eagles men's basketball team will represent Florida Gulf Coast University in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. FGCU will play their home games at Alico Arena in Fort Myers, Florida as members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. They will be led by fifth-year head coach Joe Dooley.

The Eagles finished the 2015–16 season 26–8, 12–2 in ASUN play to win the regular season championship. As the No. 1 seed in the ASUN Tournament, they defeated Stetson, Kennesaw State, and North Florida to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. As a No. 14 seed in the West region, the they lost in the First Round to No. 3-seeded Florida State.
