The 2017 Australian Football International Cup will be the sixth edition of the Australian Football International Cup, an international Australian rules football competition run by the Australian Football League.
It will be contested between 5–19 August 2017, with games played in Melbourne. All three previous tournament champions (Ireland, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea) will participate in the tournament.
There will be 18 nations competing in the 2017 Tournament. Of these, 15 competed in the previous tournament; Montenegro will make their debut. The fixture for the tournament is expected to be released in July 2017.
The Grand Finals will be held on Saturday, August 19th as curtain raisers to AFL Round 22 matches. The men's Grand Final will be held prior to the Collingwood-Geelong match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, its home since the tournament's inception in 2002. The women's Grand Final will take place prior to the Carlton-Hawthorn game at Docklands Stadium, signaling a venue change from the 2014 edition, when it was held at Punt Road Oval.
