2017 Dunlop Super2 Series

The 2017 Dunlop Super2 Series is an Australian motor racing competition for Supercars, staged as a support series to the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship. It will be the eighteenth annual Supercars Development Series and will officially be known as the Super2 Series. The defending champion of the series is Garry Jacobson, who will return to the series with Prodrive Racing Australia.

A few substantial changes will be seen in the 2017 season including the new rules of the Super2 program. This will see the opportunity for Dunlop Series teams to field a Wildcard entry in up to two of the four events selected (Winton, Barbagallo Raceway, Hidden Valley and Queensland Raceway). This program is to encourage more cars and teams to get involved in the Main Series. The Bathurst round of the Super2 Series has also become a Non Championship round, to also encourage more cars and teams to join the grid for "The Great Race".
