The 2017 FIBA Asia Women's Cup will be the qualifying tournament for FIBA Asia at the 2018 FIBA World Championship for Women in Spain. The tournament will be held from July 23 to 29 in Bangalore, India. Previously before this edition, the tournament was known as the FIBA Asia Championship for Women.
The championship will be divided into two levels: Level I and Level II. The two lowest finishers of Level I will meet the top two finishers of Level II to determine which teams qualify for the top Level of the 2019 Championship. The losers will be relegated to Level II.
