The International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine World Cup tour is the premier circuit for alpine skiing competition. The inaugural season launched in January 1967, and the 2017–2018 season marks the 52nd consecutive year for the FIS. This World Cup season begins in October 2017, in Sölden, Austria, and will conclude in Åre, Sweden on 18 March 2018. The season will be interrupted by the 2018 Winter Olympics which take place from 9 to 25 February in Pyeongchang, South Korea, with the alpine events at Yongpyong Alpine Centre and Jeongseon Alpine Centre.
