G-Dragon 2017 World Tour: Act III, M.O.T.T.E is the second world tour by South Korean artist G-Dragon, set to begin in Seoul at Seoul World Cup Stadium. It marks his first concert as a solo artist since 2013, making him the second solo artist in history to perform at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, after PSY. The tour is the largest-scale Korean tour in the United States and it is the largest tour ever conducted by a Korean male solo artist.
In January 2017, YG Entertainment announced that G-Dragon was working on a new solo album to be released in 2017, along with a new concert tour to support the album. On March 31st, it was reported that he will hold a concert in Seoul World Cup Stadium on June 10, On April 5th, YG Entertainment and G-Dragon confirmed the concert. On April 25, his agency announced the full dates of the tour and it is set to visit 18 cities in Asia, North America and Oceania, with other dates still to be revealed. On May 3rd, more teasers of the tour were released, including a trailer which filmed by G-Dragon.
The news reported that Willo Perron is the creative director of the tour, this marks G-Dragon first time working with him.
In South Korea, The first round of ticket sales for the concert started on April 13, the tickets being immediately sold out in 8 minutes. Combined with the second round of ticket sales, a total of 65,000 tickets will be on sale.
In Japan, the tour is expected to bring 260,000 fans from 5 shows in Japan, making him the first foreign solo artist to hold Japan Dome concerts for the second time.
