Aiello del Friuli (Friulian: Daèl) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) northwest of Trieste and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) southeast of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,229 and an area of 13.0 square kilometres (5.0 sq mi).
The municipality of Aiello del Friuli contains the frazione (subdivision) Joannis (Friulian Uanis).
Aiello del Friuli borders the following municipalities: Bagnaria Arsa, Campolongo al Torre, Cervignano del Friuli, Ruda, San Vito al Torre, Visco.
Joannis is the birthplace of Enzo Bearzot, former Italian football player and manager, who won the 1982 FIFA World Cup as coach.
