Altamuskin

Altamuskin or Altamooskan (Irish: Allt a' Mhúscáin, meaning "Glen of the spongy ground") is a small village and townland in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the historic barony of Clogher and the civil parish of Errigal Keerogue and covers an area of 1165 acres. In the 2014 Census Altamuskin had a population of 127 people (54 houses). It lies within the Omagh District Council area. The home of St Bridgets Altamuskin. The population of the townland declined during the 19th century:

ALTAMUSKIN SPORTS: Altamuskin has a proud sporting history such as the successful football team- Altamuskin FC set up by Adam McCann, Cormac Quinn, Stephen McMenamin, Sean McCann and Tommy Owens. It also has a Rally championship as cars from the 2010 era goes round the world. The Cars include a Citroen C3 WRC Ford Fiesta WRC. Mini Clubman WRC Volkswagen Polo WRC and a Hyundai i20 WRC. Rallies include Monte Carlo, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Finland, Wales, Ireland, Ulster, Isle of Man, Croatia, New Zealand, Dunmoyle, Tyrone Stages, Monaghan and Altamuskin Rally. Altamuskin FC has won the European Cup 4 times in 2013,14,15,and 16.

In addition to this Altamuskin has a proud heritage of the successful growth of spuds. In the hills of Glenaness the fields are known as the catalyst to vegetables which can be sold to The USA and Ireland.

Altamuskin has its own Private military. Formerly known as "The Alta Clan" the new group is called "Alta OG™". Its estimated to have around 16 members between the age group of 11-17 years olds in the local hood. The Commander was Adam McCann but he has denied all claims towards McCaffery and The Police. The Brains behind the Clan was Sean "Sonsy". McCann. He too has denied all claims.

ESports Altamuskin has an Esport Team. AltaClan was founded in 2013 by Adam McCann and it has 6 members.
