António Campinos

António Campinos is a Portuguese civil servant, who is Executive Director of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as of 2017. He took up the position on 1 October 2010. Before that, he was in charge of Portugal’s National Institute of Industrial Property. He has been elected as the next President of the European Patent Office (EPO), a post he is due to take up on 1 July 2018 for a five-year term. He is also a French citizen.
