Appersett is a hamlet in the Yorkshire Dales in the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England 0.93 miles (1.5 km) west of Hawes. It lies on the A684 road and has only 23 dwellings in the hamlet. The name Appersett derives from Norse and means the 'Shieling by the apple tree'.
Appersett sits at the northern end of Widdale, where the Widdale Beck has its confluence with the River Ure.
