Australoechemus celer is a species of ground spider of the family Gnaphosidae that lives in Cape Verde, the species are also endemic. The species were named by Günter E. W. Schmidt, Michael Geishardt and Friedhelm Piepho in 1994, the same year when Argyrodes scapulatus and Tetragnatha torrensis were described. No English name is used but sometimes, it can be called as the Cape Verde ground spider.
The male holotype measures about 5 mm.
