Avegno is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Genoa in the Italian region of Liguria, located about 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Genoa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,230 and an area of 11.0 square kilometres (4.2 sq mi).
The municipality of Avegno contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) of Avegno Chiesa, Molino Nuovo, Salto, Testana, and Vexina.
