Barnard is a city in Lincoln County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 70.

Barnard was first settled in 1888, and it was incorporated as a city in 1904. Barnard was named for J.F. Barnard, a railroad employee.

Barnard is located at 39°11′21″N 98°2′35″W / 39.18917°N 98.04306°W / 39.18917; -98.04306 (39.189213, -98.043078). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.22 square miles (0.57 km2), all of it land.

The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Barnard has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.

As of the census of 2010, there were 70 people, 43 households, and 16 families residing in the city. The population density was 318.2 inhabitants per square mile (122.9/km2). There were 71 housing units at an average density of 322.7 per square mile (124.6/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 100.0% White.
