Barnert Temples

The Barnert Temple is a Reform Jewish synagogue in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. It houses the Congregation B'nai Jeshurun (Upright Children of Israel) which was founded in Paterson, New Jersey in 1847, and in 1987, the Congregation moved to the new temple building. It is the oldest Reform congregation in New Jersey.

The Temple was named for Nathan Barnert, a local silk manufacturer and Mayor of Paterson, who donated the Paterson building as a memorial to his wife.
