Benjamin "Ben" Norton is an American journalist, writer, and musician. Norton's work focuses primarily on United States foreign policy, the Middle East, and US politics.

Norton is currently a reporter at AlterNet.

Norton was previously a political staff writer at Salon, where he reported extensively on the 2016 US presidential campaign, the emails of former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and U.S. support for the 2015 war in Yemen.

He writes for The Grayzone Project, a journalistic initiative founded and edited by journalist Max Blumenthal. Norton and Blumenthal have co-written several articles. Max Blumenthal and Ben Norton also jointly host the political podcast Moderate Rebels.

At The Intercept, where he has contributed, Ben Norton published a report with journalist Glenn Greenwald criticizing PropOrNot, a group of anonymous people with no publicly disclosed credentials who compiled a blacklist of news outlets which purportedly spread Russian propaganda.

Norton is a regular contributor to the media watchdog organization Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting (FAIR).
