"Breathlessly" is a song performed by Maltese singer Claudia Faniello. The song will represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. It was written by Phillip Vella, Sean Vella, and Gerard James Borg. The song was released as a digital download on 15 March 2017 through CAP-Sounds.
On 12 December 2016, Faniello and the song "Breathlessly" were revealed as one of the 60 shortlisted entries for Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Malta's national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. She was confirmed to be one of the 16 finalists on 21 December. In the final, held on 18 February 2017, Faniello performed last and went on to win the competition, earning 4,996 votes. She will now represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Malta will compete in the first half of the second semi-final at the Eurovision Song Contest.
