Brendon Burchard is an American best-selling author who is commonly cited as "the world’s leading high performance coach and one of the most watched, followed and quoted personal development trainers in history." Success Magazine named him one of "the 25 most influential people in personal development" and Oprah.com calls him "one of the most influential leaders in the field of personal growth." Because of his online following of over 5,000,000 fans on Facebook and 500,000 subscribers on YouTube, he is also known as an expert in online marketing and social media. His most recent book, The Motivation Manifesto, was a New York Times bestseller. In April, 2011, his book The Millionaire Messenger was a number one bestseller on The New York Times Paperback bestseller list. He has created over a dozen popular personal development courses online and according to Oprah Winfrey Network "over 1,000,000 students have completed his online courses or video series, making him one of the most successful online instructors in history."

Burchard cites surviving a near-fatal car accident at age 19 as the inspiration for his core teaching questions: “Did I live? Did I love? Did I matter?” That formed the tagline for his Facebook page which now has more than five million fans and inspired the lessons in his first major book Life's Golden Ticket published by HarperCollins.

Burchard went on to create High Performance Academy, a four-day motivation training event that focuses on psychology, physiology, productivity and persuasion habits. He is also founder of Experts Academy, which is a marketing training event and online program for thought leaders that was named a "must-attend" for entrepreneurs by Entrepreneur.com.

In 2011, Burchard's second book, The Millionaire Messenger was published and reached #1 on the New York Times best seller list that year. It also debuted #1 on Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and Amazon.com bestseller lists. He gave many interviews discussing how the book teaches people to package their expertise to become a thought leader in their field using digital and affiliate marketing.

In 2012, Burchard's book The Charge: Activating the 10 Human Drives That Make You Feel Alive reached #1 on the Wall Street Journal bestseller list. He wrote the book while recovering from a brain injury.
