Byron Rojas is a Nicaraguan professional boxer who held the WBA minimumweight title in 2016.
Rojas won his first regional title, the Nicaraguan minimumweight title, on Nov 30, 2013, with a unanimous decision win over Jose Aguilar. Three years later, Rojas won his first world title by defeating WBA and IBO unified minimumweight champion Hekkie Budler. Only the WBA title was at stake, and Rojas won in a narrow unanimous decision. Budler was stripped of his IBO title after the loss. Rojas held the title for three months before losing it to WBA interim champion Thammanoon Niyomtrong.
