The Carleton Knights football team represents Carleton College in the sport of American football.
Carleton hosted the only NCAA-sponsored metric football game in 1977. The game was dubbed the "Liter Bowl" and was measured in meters instead of yards. Carleton lost the game to St. Olaf College by a score of 43-0. The event was the last to fill Carleton's Laird Stadium.
