Carters Coach Services is a bus operator based in Ipswich in Suffolk, England. The company operates services over a wide area in both Suffolk and Essex.
Carters was set up as a family business in 1985. The company first ran from a base in East Bergholt, Suffolk. The depot relocated to a petrol station next to the A12 in Capel St Mary. On 27 May 2016 the company was taken over by Ipswich Buses and now use Constantine Road Depot in Ipswich.
Carters operate a number of services, both standard routes and more limited services. Both urban and rural areas are served, many of the company's routes running into Ipswich, and serving the Old Cattle Market bus station. It also operates school services under contract to Suffolk County Council. Carters Coaches have kept their separate identity although most tickets are now inter-available with Ipswich Buses over common sections of route.
As at September 2013 Carters operate a fleet of 13 buses. It also owns 4 preserved double deckers: 1 Bristol Lodekka, 2 Bristol VRs and 1 AEC Routemaster.
