Chitra Shenoy is an Indian actress in South Indian movies. She has done many Kannada and Malayalam movies. She rose to fame with her role as mother-in-law in the Malayalam serial Sthreedhanam.
She is born in a Sankethi Brahmin family to M.K.Vinayak and Saraswathi as the youngest among two children at Hassan. She has an elder sister, Jyothi. She is a home science graduate. She is married to Gurudas Shenoy, a Kannada Film & Television Producer. The couple has a daughter, Khushi. They run a production house Dakshin Videotech. She currently resides at Bangalore with family.
