Comanche Independent School District

Comanche Independent School District is a public school district based in Comanche, Texas (USA).

Located in Comanche County, a very small portion of the district extends into Mills County.

In 2009, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.

The High school's principal is Scott Carslie, who replaced Ronald "Coach" Clifton as the principal in the 2007-2008 school year.

Between the 2007-2008 and the 2008-2009 school years, Comanche High School moved from UIL conference 3A to conference 2A. The school's football team plays in District 4-2A (division 1), along with schools from Breckenridge, Clyde, Dublin, Eastland, Merkel and Tuscola Jim Ned. The school's basketball teams play in District 7-2A along with schools from Breckenridge, Cisco, Clyde, Dublin, Eastland, Hawley and Merkel.
