Countrysides is Cracker's sixth studio album.
Before the release of the album, Cracker had been touring under the name "Ironic Mullet" at various dive bars across the American South, and even Alaska. The songs, while mostly covers, they felt came to reflect on the political climate the country was facing at the time.
