The Cross of Recognition (Latvian: Atzinības krusts) is a state decoration of Latvia, founded in 1938, but tracing its historical origins to 1710. It is awarded to Latvians and foreigners for meritorious services in the development of the military, ensuring national security and public order, defending the national borders, and promotion of Latvian patriotism.
