Deal Island is a census-designated place (CDP) in Somerset County, Maryland, United States. The population was 578 at the 2000 census. It is included in the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The small town was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Deal Island Historic District in 2006.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.4 square miles (14 km2), of which, 3.2 square miles (8.3 km2) of it is land and 2.1 square miles (5.4 km2) of it (39.66%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there were 578 people, 240 households, and 165 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 178.0 people per square mile (68.7/km²). There were 352 housing units at an average density of 108.4/sq mi (41.8/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 90.31% White, 7.96% African American, 0.87% Native American, 0.17% from other races, and 0.69% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.21% of the population.
