Detroj is a village located in Ahmedabad district Gujarat state , India.
Detroj is a historic village since God used to live here. Its name is given after the name of the devil group 'Daityo'. Thousands of years ago the group of devils named Daityo used to live here. They used to eat chickens and hen, which is the vehicle of Goddess Bahuchar. So once Goddess Bahuchar decided to punish those devils and she tore up their stomach and removed the dead hen and chickens making them alive. Since then till now, this place is known by the name Detroj.
