The Dharangadhra railway station belongs to western railway of Ahmedabad Division.
Dhrangadhra Railway was owned by Princely state of Dhrangadhra. It was opened to traffic in 1898. A small metre gauge section between Dhrangadhra and Wadhwan was laid in 1905.
There were trains to Visakhapatnam, Mumbai, Howrah, Shalimar, Bangalore, Pune, Gandhidham. About ten trains pass through this station daily. One passenger train starts and terminates at this station (Bhavnagar-Dhrangadhra passenger).
