The District of Pristina (Albanian: Rajoni i Prishtinës) is the largest district in Kosovo, with seat in the capital city of Pristina. It consists of 8 municipalities and 298 villages. According to the 2011 Census, the total population of the district is 477,312.

In 1991, the municipalities with Albanian majority were: Prishtina (88.63%), Kastriot (80.31%), Fushë Kosovë (82.63%), Lipjan (79.36%), Podujeva (98.91%), and Drenas (99.87%). The municipality of Novoberda had a Serb-Montenegrin majority in 1991 (58.12%).
In the 2011 census, Albanians are the majority in: Prishtina (97.8%), Drenas (99.9%), Podujeva (98.9%), Lipjan (94.6%), Kastriot (92.1%), Fushë Kosovë (86.9%), and Novoberda (52.4%).
Serbs are the majority population in Gračanica (Gracanicë) municipality with 67.5%.
