Drummin, County Mayo


Drummin (Irish: An Dromainn, meaning "The Ridge") is a small village in County Mayo, Ireland, near the town of Westport.

Situated close to Croagh Patrick, Drummin is known for its scenery and the constant rumour of gold.

The village has a church, St. Mary's, and a public house. The post office closed in recent years. There were also three shops up to the late sixties.

Drummin is also the name of 6 separate townlands in different parts of County Clare, Ireland. The largest of them is Drummin in the civil parish of Kilmurry.
