Eastern Theater Command, one of the five war zones of People's Liberation Army, was founded in February 1, 2016; its predecessor is the Nanjing Military Region.
Its jurisdiction includes Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Shanghai and the East China Sea fleet.
Its commander is Gen. Liu Yuejun and political commissar is Lt. Gen. Zheng Weiping.
