Electric Café is the forthcoming seventh studio album by American girl-group En Vogue. The album will be released in the third quarter of 2017.
Originally envisioned as solely an EDM (Electronic dance music) album, Electric Café has evolved into what the members of En Vogue have described as an "electronic soul" album with a global flare.
News of En Vogue recording its seventh album came as early as 2014 when member Rhona Bennett released images of the group in studio with Producer Dem Jointz. Initially scheduled for a 2016 release,Electric Café was moved to the first quarter of 2017 so as to afford the group time to add additional songs to the album and to procure a new distribution arrangement. However, in a February 2017 interview on Chicago's WGN-TV, En Vogue revealed that the album release date had been moved to the second quarter of 2017. Notwithstanding that update, Terry Ellis revealed during an interview with a French entertainment web site, that the album would be released in August 2017 and that the group was finishing two additional songs that would be added to the album. Cindy also confirmed the new release date during the groups For The Love of Music Tour.
Confirmed producers on Electric Café are Raphael Saadiq, Dem Jointz and Foster & McElroy. The album will have a Worldwide digital and physical release.
