Alfred Ernest "Ernie" Shepherd (6 January 1901 – 12 September 1958) was an Australian politician. He was an Australian Labor Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly for the electorates of Sunshine (1945–1955), Ascot Vale (1955–1958) and Footscray (1958). From 1952 to 1955, he was the Victorian Minister for Education in John Cain's cabinet, and from 1957 to 1958 was leader of the Labor Party in Victoria and Leader of the Opposition.
