Krystal Kherson is a professional football club from Kherson in Ukraine that has a long history in the Soviet and then the Ukrainian Leagues.

Among notable predecessors of the club that represented the city and the oblast was FC Lokomotyv Kherson that in 1958–1975 participated in the Soviet Class B competitions which since 1960 counted also as the Football Championship of the Ukrainian SSR.

Simultaneously soon after the World War II, Kherson city also was represented at the Soviet amateur competitions, known as the KFK competitions, which stands for competitions among collectives of physical culture.

The club was formed in 1961 as Krystal at the Kherson Semiconductor Factory, however it started out to play as Mayak (English: Lighthouse). The club replaced the previous city club Spartak Kherson that represented Kherson since the end of World War II in 1946. Prior to the war, there was another club Vodnyk Kherson.

When Ukraine became independent the club was known as Krystal and it entered the Persha Liha. Unfortunately, the club was relegated to the Druha Liha where it competed until the clubs administration decided to leave the professional ranks in 2006.

The club entered into Ukrainian Amateur competition (Fourth level) in 2011.

After a five-year absence from the professional leagues Krystal Kherson applied for readmittance to the Professional Football League of Ukraine and was admitted. The club will compete in the Ukrainian Second League for the 2011–12 season.
