The football tournament at the 2017 Central American Games is scheduled to take place in December 2017.
The tournament will act as a qualifying tournament for the Central American nations for the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. Two teams will qualify from the men's tournament, three teams will qualify from the women's tournament.
The men's tournament will be restricted to those born after 1 January 1997 and the women's tournament will have no age restrictions.
