Frying the Fat was the first compilation album from the Grand Central Records independent record label, released in association with Fat City Recordings on 8 December 1995.
A second version of the album was released on 9 February 2004, with a different sleeve and slightly different track list and order, most notably omitting the Mr. Scruff track.
