Georg Friedrich Brander

Georg Friedrich Brander (1713-1783) was an important maker of scientific instruments.

He worked in Augsburg (Germany), where he published some writings on mechanics. He won moderate fame by building machines for many European courts and academies.

In 1781 he invented the coincidence telemeter.
