Gurteen (Irish: Guirtín, meaning "a small garden") (often spelled Gorteen) is a village in County Sligo, Ireland. Gurteen has experienced quite a rise in development in the last number of years and has become, to some degree, a commuter town for people working in Sligo.
It lies on the intersection of the R293 road between Ballymote and Ballaghaderreen; and the R294 road between Boyle and Tobercurry.
