Government Law College, Thrissur is situated in Ayyanthole. It is the fourth Government law college in Kerala and is owned by the Government of Kerala and affiliated to University of Calicut. The college caters to the needs of Thrissur District, Palakkad District and Malappuram District of Kerala. The College was started in the year 1992. Approved by Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi, the college offers three-year undergraduate and five-year integrated programs in the field of law and postgraduate degree also. The first batch of Law Graduates came out in 1993-94 academic year. it is popularly known as Thrissur Law College (തൃശ്ശൂർ ലോ കോളേജ്)
Government Law College, Thrissur is situated in Ayyanthole near to The District Court, Thrissur. The College Campus including Library, Research centre and Cyber station, Auditorium and The College canteen under work in progress.
BBA,LL.B (Hons)
This is a Five year integrated law course, leading to BBA,LL.B(Hons). Each year consist of two semesters. The students earns the integrated BBA,LL.B degree After completing the tenth semester, i.e., upon successful completion of 5 years. This course is being introduced from the academic year 2011-12. 80 Seats are offered for BBA,LL.B course in every year.
LL.B degree
This is a three year law course, leading to award of an unitary honours degree. The course structure is divided into six semester over three years. Minimum qualification is degree in any stream. 100 seats are offerd for LL.B course in every year. This course is being introduced from the year 1992.
L.L.M.
This is a two year post graduate course enables students to develop their interests in many of the major areas of law. Only 10 seats are offered in each year.
