Hays is a census-designated place (CDP) in Blaine County, Montana, United States. The population was 843 at the 2010 census. The community lies within the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, near the reservation's southern end. The nearby community of Lodge Pole lies to the east.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 27.1 square miles (70.1 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 702 people, 188 households, and 153 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 53.9 people per square mile (20.8/km²). There were 207 housing units at an average density of 15.9 per square mile (6.1/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 5.27% White, 94.59% Native American, and 0.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.28% of the population.
There were 188 households out of which 51.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.6% were married couples living together, 30.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.6% were non-families. 16.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.71 and the average family size was 4.16.
