Hits 60 is a compilation album released in the United Kingdom on 6 December 2004. Despite containing 61 tracks on three discs, the album cover advertises it as having 60 tracks.
The album was the first three-disc album in the Hits compilation album series. After the success of using two-disc albums, Hits decided to use the three-disc theme in a possibility to overtake the sales of Now 59; however, Now 59 sold well in the end, with Hits 60 behind the UK Compilations Chart at number 5 (Now 59 was at number 1). Thus, the numbering system for the BMG was stopped and the series continued with Red Hot Hits from March 2005.
