HotKid is a Canadian indie rock band based in Toronto, Ontario. HotKid has released multiple a number of LPs, EPs and singles, some with accompanying videos, and toured in Canada and the US.
Hotkid formed in 2005 in Cambridge, Ontario.
Hotkid's 2009 album, Someday Somehow, was mixed by Rick White .
In 2010 drummer Rob Butcher joined the group, in time to take part in the recording of the album Under the Streetlight. In 2011 the band went on an east coast US tour, supporting the Canadian band Sloan. In 2011 they performed at the NXNE Festival in Toronto.
In 2016 the group released a single, Neck, based on the Jian Ghomeshi trial.
In 2017 Hotkid released a full length album Late Night Mornings,. along with a video for one of the songs, "Need a Friend".
