"I'm a Man Not a Boy" is a song written by Nigel Hinton, Chesney Hawkes, John Wesley Harding and recorded by Chesney Hawkes. Produced by Nik Kershaw and Alan Shacklock, the single was Hawkes's follow up to the one hit wonder "The One and Only" that featured in the film Buddy's Song starring Hawkes as Buddy and Roger Daltrey (of rock band The Who) as his father.
"I'm a Man Not a Boy" entered the charts at number 37 and climbed to a peak position of 27 a week later making it the second of only two of Hawkes' singles to make the top 40.
